A Middle School for Social and Environmental Justice
The site of the existing Scarlett Middle School is flat and open, surrounded by neighborhoods and protected woodlands. The project brief called for a new middle school on the site; one that would use architecture as a tool to teach social and environmental justice to students. Proposed is a school in which geometries suggest opportunities for identifying unresolved justice-related issues.
